More Rings
May. 5th, 2018 08:24 pmA beautiful opal mosaic ring was set today. It's antiqued black and I will polish it up just a bit. The black with the opal looks great. Will probably have another photo of rings up in the next few days.
The final design work on the bronze1950/60's abstract sculpture with the cameos is still happening and the direction is fascinating me. It is definitely a new one for me. I grew up in NYC during the height of the abstract expressionist movement. It's work I know very well, but not work that usually directly influences me.
I've finished 2 commissions that I'm bringing to Wiscon. Coincidentally they are both exquisite purple/blue translucent stones. The designs are very different. I'll put photos of both of them up ,after the women who commissioned them see them at Wiscon.
I'm getting some new stones in very soon, including some stunning opals. I'm really looking forward to seeing them.
