This is one of the new designs I was talking about in my last post. Click on it to get an improved photo. Unfortunately the large gorgeous fresh water peal was impossible to photograph. This one is far more beautiful then this image but it is the best I could do and I did promise to put the new designs up. The actual color is far more brilliant and flashes from gold to purple and back.

I'm taking some down time so I won't be posting for a couple of weeks. Take care.

I have several original designs almost finished, including the kangaroo, the jade set with a tropical flower and a floral druze ring.

Photos will go up within a week or so, after the folks who commissioned them receive them.

In the meantime, here are some stones I'm thinking about. Click on images for true pictures!

A diachroic glass by Nancy Pearlman

Beetle wings that I am fascinated by, this isn't out of focus it's the light reflection off the wings. They can be made into jewelry safely and I'm thinking about them

This is Ray mine Silica. Probably my last piece.

I'm feeling burned out so good night.

I'm back from Philcon and still recovering. Had major airline issues coming home. Enjoyed myself a lot.

But I wanted to put this up. It's diachroic glass by Nancy Pearlman iwth turquoise diamonds. When I get the chance, I love designing for her work.

It's abut 2.5 inches wide in sterling silver. Diamonds are much brighter in life. It's from the collection of Nancy
Cobb.

I got some amazing commissions there. I'll write about them soon. Too tired right now.

I loved the druze crystal stone and the commission was for clouds, waves, a slightly hidden sun n the clouds and I added a lightening bolt.

I was a joy to make and especially to carve. It's about 3' wide in sterling and from the collection of Bayla Fine.

I'm currently working on a dragon pendant with antique Hungarian garnets. They are a magnificent deep red and faceted on top. The dragon is quite detailed and the rest of the design is lacy with tiny Hungarian garnets. I've put off working with these garnets for a long time because they are the last that I have and they were mined out a long time ago.  I'll have a photo of it when it's finished.

And I'm working on a pendant with turquoise diachroic glass and turquoise diamonds that's also a kind of sky.

And starting to get ready for Philcon.

This is a handmade diachronic collectors glass with sapphires. I ended up with two photos. (This could get to be a habit if I’m not careful.) One shows the brilliance of the piece and the other shows the amazing internal detail. The silver is more accurate in the first photo. Neither photo does justice to the sapphires but they are definitely more beautiful than the photos. The pendant is sterling and about 2” long. I was really happy with the detail in the design and the way it works with the glass and stones.

It’s really hard for me not to be a perfectionist about jewelry photos.

I’ve got a an exceptional collection for Worldcon. And I’m still working on a some more designs. I’ve been feeling particularly inspired lately.
