Opal Discs and Pearl
Jun. 29th, 2021 06:34 pmI mentioned yesterday that I was finishing a pearl and opal pendant. The design is lacey with the pearl as a drop at the the bottom and the stunning opal discs woven through it.
I'm working on another wax right now (among others) where the theme is clouds. I don't remember having conceived of anything like this before.
Photo below is a photo of the pearl and opal discs. the opals are even more vivid and beautiful than the photo. The photo doesn't do justice to the pearl, but ethiopian opals are so difficult to photograph that I decided to let it go.

I'm working on my talk right now for the PH21 Gallery in Budapest and I'm feeling blitzed.
