I made two Ethiopian opal designs for Jim Hudson and Diane Martin for their anniversary, The opals are particularly brilliant. As Diane said they "sparkle color" (very vivid). For reasons I do not understand this particular kind of Ethiopian opal is very hard to photograph.

Her pendant is below. The photo is darker then I wanted but it gives the best sense of the stone, and is still much less vivid then it is in life. There are two diamonds set in the silver work that are vivid in life but not in the photo. The design work is very detailed, and a different direction for me that I really like.

They sent me photos of the ring and the pendant that they were wearing. I was delighted to have them. They looked just the way i planned them to look on them. Unfortunately, once agian the stones are far far more vivid then the photos.
