This is an exquisite chalcedony set in bronze with a small amethyst.

And this is a stunning fresh water pearl (photo doesn't do it justice) with a knapped obsidian in a neolithic style. Both set in bronze.

I love working with really interesting semi-precious stones

Balticon starts this Friday and I'm hoping to see lots of folks I know. I have several friends I know will be there.

And I'm almost ready!

These are two of the new designs that I'm bringing to World Fantasy.

This an exquisitely knapped piece of obsidian that I made a sterling design for. It's about 3" high. (Knapping is the shaping of flint, chert, obsidian or other conchoidal fracturing stone through the process of chipping away in a very controlled way. This one is a scraper. Knapping was used in Neolithic times for a variety of tools and also in the high Mesoamerican civilizations. (It's now done by crafters for the art.) I will be bringing some unset pieces as well with my stones.

This is agate and the floral is intrinsic to the stone. Have not ever seen this before this realistically. It's in sterling and about 2.5" high

I'm going to finish my soldering now.
