Glacier Pendant

I have a commission to design a pendant as a conceptual glacier with the druze crystals and chrysocolla stone below. I'm going to use, in addition, either 2 small pieces of blue tourmaline, or the Icelandic spar in the lower photo. Icelandic spar is a form of rock crystal that is only found in Iceland. I brought this stone back with me when I went there a few years ago. The photo is OK but the stone is both more brilliant and more reflective than shown.

And I might also add a couple of very small turquoise diamonds. But that will wait til the design is almost finished.

It's going to be complicated to design and a real pleasure to do the work.  The pendant is for the collection of Bayla Fine and the basic concept is hers as well.  She saw the stone here on laurieopal when I put its photo up a few months ago. I'll put of a photo of the finished design when it's ready
