More New Stones and Philcon
Oct. 29th, 2022 10:39 pmUnfortunately, I _won't_be at World Fantasy next week in New Orleans, but I plan to be in Kansas City for World Fantasy in 2023. I really regret not being in New Orleans.
I spent much of today polishing a calla lily bronze necklace that will have pearls as part of the design. I will be bringing it to Philcon in November.
I finished the dragon that's set with antique Hungarian garnets. I rarely have to redo a design. This one I seriously reworked,
I wanted to put up a photo of an ammonite necklace I'm working on but the stone just didn't photograph well. It was frustrating!
But I got good photos of two new stones that I love. They are both about 2.5 inches high.
This is a stunning fresh water pearl.
..
And this is an equally stunning nephrite jade
I'm really happy that I found both of them. I'm not sure of anything much about design except that the fresh water pearl will be set in very dark silver. I will be bringing them to Philcon.
And I'm also working on the kangaroo design. As I've said before, it's definitely a first.
